Liverpool, England ( - Karim Benzema scored two goals in the span of 11 first-half minutes on Wednesday and Cristiano Ronaldo added another goal as Real Madrid coasted to a 3-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield in Champions League Group B play.

The result allows Madrid to take firm control at the top of the group with three wins from three games, while Liverpool has lost two of its first three fixtures.

Ronaldo got Madrid off the mark in the 23rd minute when he latched on to a chipped pass from James Rodriguez inside the penalty area before driving a first-time shot past goalkeeper Simon Mignolet.   Full Story
